After the great success of our International held in 2001, where over 350 competitors attended.
The Anglia Region warmly invites your Judo Team to our International Judo Tournament 2002.

The tournament will be held in the newly built Sports Park at the University of East Anglia, Norfolk, England. It will be set up with 5 contest mat areas. Seniors and Juniors will be competing throughout the day.

A lot was learn't from last year, and will help us to make this Tournament a much better and enjoyable event. We look forward to the outstanding Judo that was witnessed last year.

WEIGHT CATAGORIES:
The organizers of the event reserve the right to amalgamate JUDOKA of DIFFERENT WEIGHTS to ensure ‘pools of 4’ as much as possible.
The organisers reserve the right to amalgamate/delete any WEIGHT CATEGORY they may choose in the interests of the competition
All competitors are limited to one category only

Please note: All competitors will be required to produce their belt at weigh-in to confirm category.

Please note: Red Tabs UNDER EIGHT YEARS OF AGE WILL BE SIZED ON THE DAY AND PLACED INTO GROUPS OF 4 WHERE POSSIBLE.

At this event the following Rules will apply

  1. No armlocks, strangles, or chokes are allowed for all Juniors
  2. Sacrifical techniques are allowed for Juniors above EIGHT YEARS
  3. Hold-downs - All Juniors
  4. Hold-downs - Seniors
  5. Contest times:
  6. Footwear is to be worn at all times off the mat
  7. Gumshields are to be worn with Braces during contest
  8. The British Judo Council (Martial Arts Circle) Anglia Region accepts no responsibility for injury loss of property at this event
  9. You must have a current licence and all licences will be checked on the day
  10. Each club will be totally responsible for the behaviour of its competitors and supporters
  11. There will be Gold Silver and two Bronze for each category
  12. Refreshments will be available throughout the day
  13. The British Judo Council (Martial Arts Circle) Anglia Region reserves the right to refuse admission.
  14. There will be First Aid in attendance
